Can you imagine what Jesus went through? He did it all for you. On this side of resurrection, we know it all worked out.
Think about what the disciples felt on the first Saturday after Jesus’ death.
They were hiding because they were afraid of the ones who killed Jesus.
Judas had hung himself. Peter had denied him. They were alone.
They were hiding in the room he had washed their feet.
Have you ever felt like God had pulled on over on you? Have you ever felt he had was making a joke out of you?
It’s okay to feel this way. The Psalms have ample language for you to use to pour your heart out to God. But realize the Psalms are correct in feeling, but often wrong in theology.
It can feel like Christ as abandoned you. The truth is he hasn’t left you alone. It can feel like you need to be afraid, The truth is you have nothing to fear.
The best solution for theologically incorrect feelings it to gather with others and hear their stories. On Sunday we’re going to celebrate the resurrection. We’re going to hear testimonies of what God did on Friday. We’re going to going to party together.
Come. Celebrate with us.
Sunday at 10:00 AM, 9:00 for breakfast.
An oh… here’s one more resurrection scene from the Passion of the Christ
