Jesus says in John 10 that “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…”
Satan hates mankind because we were made in God’s image, and the devil’s only way to destroy us is through our own free will.
He convinces people their self-worth is based on their appearance:
too tall, too short,
too fat, too skinny,
too old, too young,
too round, too square
We look at the outward appearance, and when we don’t like what we see, we feel the need to change it.
In 1 Sam 16:7 God says “People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Wouldn’t life be better if Instead of looking for the approval of people, we focused on finding approval from God?
