It hard to make a list of steps when you need someone who has been healed to help you walk through those. Hurt people can hurt people. Healed people should help heal others. Use the contact page if you want someone to contact you directly and help you find the freedom you can have.

      Janet,
When you’ve been hurt, it is indeed very hard to understand what to do because the pain and/or betrayal can feel overwhelming. The best thing to do is to forgive (this doesn’t mean you forget). How do you forgive? You make a conscious effort and ask God to give you strength and you tell God that you want to forgive the perpetrator who hurt you so deeply. Forgiveness is an act of the intellect…Your mind….making up that you are going to forgive. The emotions and emotional pain will still be there. Make that prayer each and every day….You can say something similar to this…..”Lord, dear Father God, I want to forgive _________(name the person orpersons) for the hurt that they caused me. I am still suffering…but I want You, dear Lord, to know that my will is to forgive them. ” Each day…pray this prayer….One day, you will realize that you no longer feel the pain or the hurt. God will have lifted that from you. It may take a week, a month, or even years….but never stop praying that prayer. God hears you and listens to your heart. He will fill that area of pain with His love. One day….that pain will be gone. You can believe that His Love is so great! Pray for those who persecute you and you will be set free. God Bless You Janet

Learning to forgive with our whole hearts helps too. Decide to forgive. Bless the offender (safely). Feel the peace over the person and situation. NOT feeling that peace has little to do with the size of the offence and everything to do with the lies we believe about the offence. We can help you hear the truth of what God says about the situation. It’s a lot faster than therapeutic excerises.
