Hello Again Kingdom Way Family!

We want to address recent news updates and concerns about public gatherings with respect to the Coronavirus outbreaks.

We are taking our advice from the Alberta Health and Canada Health advisory pages, not news reports, which may be confusing and misleading.

We invite you to refer to the references, noted at the bottom of this letter, to keep well informed.

In light of the recent concerns in our community about the COVID-19 virus, we want you to know that our staff at Kingdom Way are taking every precaution to keep our church family healthy.

Currently, our plans are to continue with our service on Sunday morning. We will be streaming but details will be sent out later as we figure out the best way to do it online and through calling in on phones. Check back at https://kingdomway.ca/watch-live

We want to keep our community in touch through this period of social isolation.  In addition, we want to support those who need assistance.

We are looking for people who could

1. Give a phone call to check in on people in our congregation who do not have computer.  This could be people who are not supposed to leave their house (seniors, quarantined, etc)

2. If there are people who have needs and unable to get out, is there anyone who could physically assist?

Please contact Pastor Shawn if you are able to assist with any of these tasks or if you have any other suggestions.

Thank you for remembering to give during this time. You can do it online at https://kingdomway.ca/give/

We will be doing our best to follow the Alberta Health Guidelines. As per Alberta Health Guidelines, we will remain open. Seniors, people who have been out of the country, those who are not feeling well, and other high-risk populations should practice self-isolation and choose to connect online or over the phone.

We are committed to keeping the building a clean and sanitized space for you to worship. We are increasing the frequency and enhancing the sanitization of high-contact places (e.g. door handles, bathrooms, etc).

If you or your family find yourselves sick and needing to stay at home, or if you are a senior or in another high-risk population,  here are some ways to stay connected!

  • Visit the Kingdom Way website (https://kingdomway.ca/watch-live ) or Facebook to watch our livestream.
  • Call in to our service using your phone (Dial 587-405-1252 and use access code 508 9225).

We are moving many of the weekly gatherings to online. Stay tuned for links and information on how you can join GAP Prayer, Conversation Cafe, and even your Home Group.

We pray His promise of protection over you and your family. This is a time to stay in faith and put our hearts into God’s Word. Pray the promises of protection over your lives and your families and speak that perspective at home.

Psalm 91 is a great chapter to print, hang up, memorize and meditate on! Here’s part of it:

“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” Psalm 91:9-10

We will continue to consult and monitor the most up to date advisories from Alberta Health and Health Canada, making adjustments as they advise.

If you have any questions, please refer to our website. It will be updated as new information becomes available.

God Bless, Kingdom Way Pastors
